My Story

Looking back, I can see that God was preparing me for this work long before I understood it.

When I was just three years old, I told my mother, "I want to be a counselor." I have no idea how I even knew what a counselor was. At six years old, I gave my life to Jesus, beginning a faith journey that continues to shape both my life and my practice today.

Life brought seasons of joy, growth, disappointment, and redemption. In my early twenties, as I sought God's direction, He led me into elementary education. For seven years, I taught 3rd and 4th grade, where I discovered a deep love for children and families. Still, the dream of becoming a counselor never left my heart.

In 2014, I began graduate school and quickly realized my calling was to serve children, women, and families. Since beginning my counseling career in 2017, I've had the privilege of working in domestic violence agencies, Christian nonprofits, foster care, public schools, and private practice. In 2022, I founded WholeHeart Counseling Services in Weatherford, Texas, where our practice grew into a thriving group dedicated to helping families heal.

Then God opened a new door.

When my husband accepted a position at Oklahoma State University, our family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma. Today, I serve clients across Oklahoma and Texas through telehealth while providing in-home play therapy and family counseling in the Stillwater area through Healing at Home.

As my experience has grown, I have seen that parents play a vital role in a child's healing journey. When parents are equipped with practical tools and support, children are better able to make lasting progress. That's why Healing at Home brings therapy into the environment where life actually happens, partnering closely with parents to create meaningful, lasting transformation.

I also have a passion for helping adolescents and adults rediscover their identity and worth. As a Making Sense of Your Worth facilitator, I help individuals move beyond shame and step into the freedom, confidence, and truth they were created to live.

Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). My work integrates evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, expressive arts, sand tray therapy, mindfulness, parent training, and family therapy—with compassionate, personalized care. Grounded in a conservative Christian worldview, I also offer faith integration through prayer, Scripture, and spiritual discussion whenever clients request it.

Whether we're working with your child, your family, or you personally, my goal is simple: to provide exceptional care that helps you experience healing, build stronger relationships, and move forward with hope. It is a privilege to walk alongside each person God entrusts to my care, believing that lasting transformation is possible when clinical excellence, compassionate support, and truth come together.
